Abstract
Nasi liwet is an Indonesian traditional food from Solo. This food can be found in many places in Solo. Nasi liwet is famous for its soft texture and savory taste. This food isn’t only liked by the people of Solo of all ages, but also by the tourists. However, in this modern era, traditional food is at risk from disappearance, including nasi liwet. Preservation effort is therefore needed so that this food doesn’t disappear from society. One of the effort to preserve this food is to innovate the way it is served. Nasi liwet, which is usually served traditionally, could be served modernly without altering its distinct taste. Such innovation is necessary for nasi liwet to sustain in this modern era.
